What is InLight Therapy?
InLight therapy is also referred to as: low level polychromatic light therapy (PLT), photobiomodulation (PBM), phototherapy, low level light therapy (LLLT), infrared light therapy, or monochromatic infrared energy (MIRE). It’s simple, safe, and FDA cleared.
During InLight therapy, you relax in a comfortable recliner while light-emitting pads are placed on the surface of your skin. These lights have specific frequencies capable of reaching your body’s cells, where they are signaled to turn on may healing functions. You will not feel any sensation from the light pads, aside from the wave of relief that your painful condition is being healed on a cellular level.
How does InLight Therapy work?
InLight’s gentle, pulsing LED light wavelengths increase circulation to relieve pain and rejuvenate the entire body. Although gentle, silent, and cool to the touch, low-level light therapy is naturally effective on a cellular level. Unlike painkillers, not only does light therapy relieve pain, it also addresses your underlying condition by stimulating your body’s innate healing abilities.
Infrared Light Therapy works by increasing oxygen and energy in your body’s cells. Not only does this decrease pain and inflammation, it also promotes tissue regeneration, making it a valuable tool for healing bone fractures, bruises, and other injuries. Infrared Light Therapy also treats neuropathy, including debilitating peripheral neuropathy of the hands and feet caused by diabetes or chemotherapy. InLight therapy uses leading-edge medical technology supported by many peer-reviewed research studies. The following conditions may benefit from LED light therapy:
- Back pain
- Bone fracture
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Tight muscles/muscle strain
- Neck pain
- Neuropathy/peripheral neuropathy, including diabetic and chemotherapy-induced neuropathy
- Shoulder pain
- Tennis elbow
- …and more!
InLight Blue Light therapy
Aside from treating pain, InLight therapy offers treatment for a variety of skin conditions. At MedRoyal, we have another leading-edge light therapy system: Blue Light therapy. Blue Light therapy uses the same InLight technology, just at a different wavelength. This wavelength targets skin cells to promote regeneration and decrease inflammation.
Prolotherapy is a non-surgical solution for people suffering from pain, joint instability, and osteoarthritis. Prolotherapy is a groundbreaking regenerative injection treatment used to repair injured tendons, ligaments, and joints.
Platelet Rich Plasma
A recent addition to regenerative injection therapy is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). PRP involves the injection of your own blood’s platelets into the site of the injury to help stimulate repair. PRP is swiftly gaining popularity among professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, and more.
Trigger Point Injections
Trigger point injections are used to relieve extremely painful, tight, or sore areas of muscle. Trigger points are very tight bands or small areas of a muscle that are very sensitive to touch and pressure. The trigger point can irritate surrounding nerves and cause referred pain to nearby areas. Traumatic injury, overexertion, muscle tension, muscle spasms, pinched nerves, and hormonal imbalances are common causes of trigger points. Trigger point injections ease tension, promote circulation, and decrease pain.
