PRP Treatments

Chandler & Phoenix, AZ

PRP therapy treats different conditions - hair loss, facial rejuvenation, acne scars, tendonitis, joint pain, stretch marks, and more. This safe procedure works using our body’s own natural healing methods. Our PRP Clinicians are highly trained to administer platelet rich plasma injections.

What treatments use PRP?

The PRP for your treatment comes from your own body, so you’ll need to have a quick blood draw first. The Med Royal team obtains a small sample of your blood and places it into a machine called a centrifuge, which spins the blood. The centrifugal force causes the blood to separate into layers.

The layers containing only platelets and plasma with minimal red and white blood cells are the injectable PRP, and the team uses it for your personalized treatment. By using your own blood in the process, there is very little risk of infection or rejection.

Which treatments use PRP?

Med Royal offers three treatments that take advantage of the regenerative properties of PRP. If you’re interested in integrating PRP into your care plan, the team might recommend:

Joint injections

PRP joint injections are popular among athletes and people with joint degeneration. These injections help heal damage within your joints for better mobility and less pain.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a skin care treatment that uses small perforations in your skin’s surface to induce healing. By adding an application of PRP, you can accelerate and enhance this healing for clearer skin.

Hair restoration

Hair loss and hair thinning is a serious concern for many people. To stimulate your follicles for better hair growth, the team at Revitalize MedSpa might recommend microneedling with PRP for your scalp.

Treatments with PRP are safe for nearly anyone. To find out more about PRP joint injections, microneedling, or hair therapy, call Revitalize MedSpa or book an appointment online today.

Advantages of Laser Hair Removal

PRP Therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient's own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient's own healing system to improve and restore.

What is PRP?

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a form of treatment that’s rising rapidly in popularity. It’s unique because it utilizes components that already exist within your body to improve healing and cell regeneration.

PRP contains two key components that make it an effective addition to many treatments available at Med Royal. It includes:

Blood platelets

Platelets are a type of cell within your blood that releases growth factors in areas of tissue damage. These growth factors signal the nearby cells to regenerate new tissue to heal the damage. The platelets themselves are also the components responsible for blood clotting and scabbing to stop bleeding.

Blood plasma

Plasma is the liquid part of your blood. As a liquid, PRP is both injectable and easy to spread or apply. The platelets in PRP are suspended within the plasma.

PRP does not contain red or white blood cells which contribute to inflammation and can impair healing.
